Devine SMT 7-16-60 (2)

This story, which announced Thomas E. Devine’s Saipan gravesite claim, appeared in the San Mateo Times on July 16, 1960. Devine returned to Saipan in 1963 and located the gravesite shown to him by the Okinawan woman in August 1945, but did not share his find with Fred Goerner. Instead Devine planned to return to Saipan by himself, but he never again got the opportunity.

  1. I am also a believer in the Amelia Earhart /Noonans demise on Saipan due to what i have heard from different veterans throughout and before my creating and operating of a War Memorial Museum here in Pa.for the last 22 years. I am also in progress of expansion of the Museum which will also have a display of items to pay tribute to Earhart & Noonan & voice my opinion of the coverup from our government which is still being hidden today. We are welcome to additional info or memorabilia or pictures to share in our display if there is anything out there.

    With Best Regards,
Jack Craft President/CEO Endless Mountains War Memorial Museum.
